Test Rides are simply a brief riding lesson given by competent professionals with a desire to spread the value of horseback riding and to gain new customers. Test Rides are not: - Pony rides
- Entertainment just for children
- You will be asked a series of questions to determine your riding level.
- You will be given a safety demonstration prior to entering the riding area.
- You will be matched with a certain horse that meets your riding level.
- You will be guided through a series of controlled exercises to familiarize yourself with the American Quarter Horse.
- Test Rides usually last between 10-20 minutes each depending upon the event.
- You will have the opportunity to visit with a local AQHA Affiliate volunteer or Professional Horsemen about how to get more involved with horses.
